Flylady!

I've heard others talk about Flylady and decided to check it out. To be honest I find the website and all the emails a little overwhelming, but decided to do the 31 day beginner baby steps. i definitely think it will be a bonus in feeling more organized at home and just in general.

Today is Day 2 and so far so good! I'm looking forward to picking up little habits that will work together to help me form a smooth routine I can stick with.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for the nice comment. Wishing you luck on your journey of adoption (have you been to Melissa's blog called Stretch Marks? you can find her on my blog list of faves, or on SITS). Melissa and her husband have an adopted daughter, and she is newly pregnant with another baby. A great blog to read.

I'm sure I'll be back to stalk, I mean, read your blog :)

code for kiki&lele button will not work on a comment, I need to e-mail it to you.  I will look on your page to see if it is there, if it is not will you e-mail me at kikiandlele@yahoo.com so I can have your address?  thanks so much for adding it.  Can you tell me how you got the box under the button to display the code.  is there a website i need to go to or did you pay someone to do this???

I did flylady for a while too! I got sick of all the emails but picked up some great habits and ideas. I remember changing something so that i only got ONE email a day. That made it a little less overwhelming.

What Megan said: get the emails in Digest form. You change this on your Yahoo Groups page, I believe. Then you only get one email a day, and can delete them or scroll down to what you need.

I don't follow FlyLady religiously by any means, but after 5 years of being subscribed, some of the habits HAVE become just that, and I just do them--like emptying the sink, etc. I have certain days for certain tasks, and I like to look at the Sneak Peek for the Week on Sundays so I can plan an extra task in that week's zone. Sometimes they get done, sometimes they don't.

Some people get overwhelmed with FL and give up. I really don't think she means you have to do it her way. Adapt it to fit your needs & schedule!

Good luck!

Thanks for stopping by my site and checking out the new design! I think you'll love Flylady. Don't let the reminders overwhelm you (I've turned them off too). Just work on picking up the habits and you will gradually find that you've been Flywashed! (In a good way, LOL!)

PS I will definitely put your button on my blog! Thanks for adding mine!

I've picked up quite a few flylady habits over the past few years like cleaning out the sink, the 15 min per room, using the declutter method, etc. It is a great system even though the emails are way overwhelming. Thanks for the comment on my page! I added you to my blog roll so I could keep track of how you are doing! :)
